CLEARFIELD – The public is invited to attend a family breakfast at the Clearfield Elks on Sunday, Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Sausage, eggs, toast, home fries, orange juice and coffee will be served for a donation of $6. All proceeds will go to the Elks National Foundation to support the major philanthropic activities of the Elks.
In turn, it provides funding for scholarships; state major projects, such as the home service program in Pennsylvania; community investment programs; drug prevention; veterans service; hoop shoot; and soccer shoots.
This year, funding from the ENF enabled the Clearfield Elks to help furnish and serve meals at the Trinity Cares Food Program; donate to Marian House, Susquehanna Rural Free Clinic, CAST and the Good Samaritan Center; along with sponsoring a Community Day at the pool and providing scholarships to five seniors from the Clearfield and Curwensville High Schools.
