Lois M. Thompson, 95, of Pine Glen died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 at the Eagle Valley Nursing Home in Milesburg.

Born Feb. 14, 1921 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Lydia M. Laubach Fenstemaker.

On June 14, 1947 in Jersey Shore, she married John J. Thompson, who died March 29, 2015.

Mrs. Thompson is a 1939 graduate from Jersey Shore High School. She worked at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven from 1942 – 1947.

After marrying, she became a homemaker. She and her husband, John, moved to Pine Glen in 1968. She was a member of the Pine Glen United Methodist Church.

She was an excellent baker. She made the best pies, especially apple, pumpkin and lemon. She could whip up a batch of cookies in no time.

She loved taking care of others. She treasured her time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and watching the birds.

She is survived by her three children, Patricia A. Zetts and her husband, George of Apollo, Gregory C. Thompson and his wife, Shelley of Pine Glen and Wayne R. Thompson and his wife, Elana of Stormstown.

She is survived by seven grandchildren, Michael Thompson and his wife, Nicole and Curtis Thompson and his wife, Yilka, all of Pine Glen, Jade Thompson of Julian, Tracy Buzalka and her husband, Rich of Carlisle, Mark Zetts and his wife, Elizabeth of Pittsburgh, Robin Rupert and her husband, Joel of Virginia and Ian Thompson of Stormstown.

She is survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Megan Meyers, Sutton Thompson, Sydney Thompson, Dylan Buzalka, Madison Buzalka, Nolan Buzalka, Emma Thompson, Talon Thompson, Lily Zetts and Anthony Rupert.

She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Miller of Williamsport and Doris Keeler and her husband, Charles of Daytona Beach, Fla.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Lamey and Martha Pletcher and two brothers-in-law, Vance Miller and Howard Lamey.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Catherine W. Dittman officiating. Burial will be private at the Pine Glen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pine Glen United Methodist Church, C/O Wanda Guenot, 845 Pine Glen Rd., Karthaus, PA 16845.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe.
