HUSTON TOWNSHIP – The male, who was found dead over a guardrail Sept. 16 on Route 153 in Huston Township, has been identified, reported Coroner Mike Morris to GANT News partner WJAC-TV.

Morris identified the male as Boris Reyes of Guatemala. His age is unknown. Reyes, a suspected “drug mule,” was transporting $250,000 to $500,000 worth of heroin inside his body based upon field tests, he said.

A “drug mule” is a person who transports illegal drugs by swallowing them or concealing them in a body cavity. Morris said one of the packages of illegal drugs inside Reyes’ body broke open, causing him to overdose.

Morris said he’s continuing the investigation with state police and drug enforcement officials.
