Obituary Notice: Jerry Keith Hubler

Jerry Keith Hubler, 74 of Sinnemahoning died at Penn Highlands Clearfield Thursday, Sept., 22, 2016.

Born Sept. 16, 1942 in Morrisdale, he was the son of the late Leland “Pete” and Opal Kephart Hubler.

On May 5, 1984 in Castle Garden, Pa., he married Karen M. Whitcomb Hubler, who survives him in Sinnemahoning.

Surviving are a daughter, Beth Fulton Goss and husband, Dennis of Great Mills, Md.; sons, James K. Hubler and his wife, Michelle of Morrisdale and Terry Fulton of Driftwood, Pa.;  grandchildren, Keith, Kyle, Ryan Amanda and Bobby; and great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Hunter, Nina, Remington and Sadie.

Also surviving are sisters, Nancy Fye, Judy Bosak and her husband, Joseph and Gloria Humenay and her husband, Vince, all of RR Morrisdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Hubler; and brother-in-law, Jerry Fye.

He was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church, RR Morrisdale.  He was a 1960 graduate of the former Morris Township High School and a self-employed as a truck driver and logger.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, No. 532 F&AM, Driftwood, Pa. He was a lifetime member of the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with his niece, the Rev. Jamie Pietsch officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Driftwood, Pa.

Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to, Alzheimer’s Association, 270 Walker Dr., Ste 201-B, State College, PA 16801.
