Margaret Jane (Adamcik) Flango, 92, of Indiana, Pa., and formerly of Ramey, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, Pa.
She was born April 24, 1924 to the late Michael and Anna (Valcic) Adamcik in Ramey.
She was the eldest of seven children, Mildred Kloss and Eleanor (John) Finch of Livonia, Mich., and Leonard (Robin) Adamcik of Beverly, NJ and deceased sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann (Richard) O’Dell, Dorothy (Mitchell) Pukszta and Josephine (Robert) Pagliarini. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. Flango.
She loved to be surrounded by her family, including four children, William E. Jr. (Barbara) Flango, Mary Ann (Wayne) Cessna, John (Yvonne Kephart, fiance) Flango and Ronald (Laurie) Flango.
She loved to be surrounded by her nine grandchildren, William T. (Nancy) Flango, Susan (Paul) Robbins, Daniel (Courtney) Flango, Wayne (Jane) Cessna III, Craig (Melissa) Cessna, Kurt (Danielle) Cessna, Victoria (Matthew) Gray, and Lindsay and Brittany (Michael Gray) Flango; nine great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marie (Dolly) Flango and Ada Flango. The family is especially grateful for the five years of care and compassion from the staff at the Communities at Beacon Ridge skilled nursing home, in Indiana, Pa., as well as AseraCare Hospice in Johnstown, Pa.
She was a long-time member of Christ the King Church in Houtzdale, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court of St. Victoria No. 646 and the Rosary Alter Society.
She lived on a dairy farm for 60 years and was proud of a state champion Holstein cow. She was also a sales lady of farm produce and Fuller Brush products. She was a passionate bingo and card player.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Friday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with the Rev. Marc J. Solomon as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.
