Gerald B. Rowles, 76, of Clearfield died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Rowles was born Jan. 27, 1940 in Woodland, the son of Chance and Mable (Brown) Rowles.
He was a truck driver for various companies. He loved to drive trucks of all kinds, a passion he had all his life.
Mr. Rowles was a U.S. Army veteran who had served during the Vietnam era.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Rowles of Clearfield and Nancy Maines of West Decatur and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rowles was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mildred Lansberry and Lorraine Peters; and six brothers, Clair, Robert, Frederick, Paul, Ellwood and Wayne Rowles.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Lay Servant Greg Evans officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Clearfield Honor Guard. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
