Spikes top Yankees to reach Championship Series

Ryan McCarvel’s two-run homer capped a four-run seventh inning and propelled the State College Spikes into the New York-Penn League Championship Series with a 6-5 victory over the Staten Island Yankees in the third and deciding game of the NYPL Semifinal Series on Friday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
