Lois Nadine Berringer, 84, a resident of DuBois Nursing Home and formerly of Curwensville, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at the nursing home.
Born Nov. 15, 1931 in Indiana, Pa., she was the daughter of Weldon and Helen (Biss) McCoy. Mrs. Berringer was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith.
On March 17, 1950, she wed Ivan Berringer Jr., who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Ivan Berringer; three sisters, Winifred Rolley, Patricia Stump and Phyllis Roadhouse; and a brother, Samuel McCoy.
Surviving are five children, Gary Berringer and his wife, Charlotte of Erie, Larry Berringer and his wife, Diana of Pittsburgh, Judy Cunningham and her husband, James of Cherry Tree, Brian Berringer and his wife, Karen of Curwensville and Marc Berringer and his wife, Kelly of Clearfield.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two brothers and a sister, William McCoy and his wife, Frances and Phyllis Berkey and her husband, Harry, both of Commodore, and Marvin McCoy of Cherry Tree.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Berringer will be private for the family with the Rev. Charles Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana, Pa.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation.
