Norma Jean (Diehl) Kitko, 85, of Glen Hope died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 in her home.

Born Dec. 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert G. and Lois E. (Jasper) Diehl.

She was a 1948 graduate of Bigler Township High School.

She was a member of Glen Hope United Methodist Church and one of the first members of the Glen Hope Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary.  She also served on the election board for many years in Glen Hope.

She owned J.W. Kitko and Sons in Glen Hope for many years following the death of her husband.

She is survived by five children, Charles A. (Charmayne) Kitko, David L. (Patricia) Kitko, Jeffrey L. Kitko, Donna F. (Allen) Figula and John K. (Jayne) Kitko and 10 grandchildren, Ashley Sankey, Holly Noel, Charlie Kitko, Jacob Kitko, Brittany Frisco, Kayla Figula, Alanna Figula, J.J. Kitko, Jackson Kitko and Joseph Kitko.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Kitko, one brother, Richard G. Diehl and one sister, Donna E. Diehl.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Glen Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Bell’s Cemetery, Glen Hope.
