State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Aug. 28 on Elizabeth Street in Houtzdale. During the incident, a Houtzdale man allegedly poked the victim in the face and knocked off his hat. He was cited for the incident through the district court, state police said.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between Aug. 24 and Tuesday on Hardscrabble Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed approximately $831 in cash and coins. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- Sometime between Aug. 9 and Tuesday, the victim told state police that someone took his MDT lawn tractor from Edwards Street in Chester Hill Borough. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday in the 200 block of Railroad Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a Trump political sign from the victim’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to Daisy Street for two dogs that were running loose. The owner was able to retrieve the dogs, police said.
- Police located a male who had a warrant on South Fourth Street. He subsequently paid the amount owed for it.
- Police responded to North Front Street for a female who was having a psychological emergency. She was transported to Penn Highland’s Clearfield Hospital for treatment.
- Police responded to South Fifth Street for a neighbor dispute over property. Both were given suggestions on handling their issue, police said.
- Police responded to an alarm at a local business and determined that everything was OK.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Mill Road and Park Street. Upon arrival police located a vehicle in the Florian Banquet Center parking lot, and an occupant reported having minor injuries. A male was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical treatment, police said in the report.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the parking lot at Sapp Bros.
- Police received a report about a three-wheeler being driven on the roadway along Coal Hill Road.
- Police assisted with a medical emergency at a local business along Old Town Road.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male whose location was not known to his mother. She was eventually able to provide an address, and he was found to be OK.
- Police received a report about an IRS scam. As a result, police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal or financial information.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on Nelson Road. However, they later learned everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a prowler on Barclay Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass on Valley View Drive. Charges are currently pending as a result, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a 55-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported to police that she’d hit a stop sign in the parking lot behind Bon Ton. There was minor damage to both the sign and vehicle; no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- On Monday a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Treasure Lake man failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 74-year-old Grampian woman who was stopping for traffic on South Brady Street. Moderate damage and no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- On Monday Animal Health Services reported to police that it had received three bad checks from a 29-year-old South Main Street man, totaling $894.64. Charges are currently pending, police said.
- On Monday a 34-year-old Carrolltown woman pulled out of South Eighth Street onto Maple Avenue and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 70-year-old Reynoldsville woman, causing a collision. The Carrolltown woman’s vehicle was subsequently pushed off the roadway. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Both occupants of the Reynoldsville woman’s vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
- Police reported that a brown Husky mix dog was found Monday near the Keep it Rolling tobacco shop at DuBois Mall.
- On Monday police were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot for a report about a male and female who were begging for money in the area. However, they were gone upon police arrival.
- Police reported that a 19-year-old Brookville woman was assaulted by her baby’s father, who’s also a 19-year-old, on Monday. According to police, they were visiting at his Country Place residence when an argument ensued and he allegedly assaulted her. She managed to leave the residence on foot and to call police. Upon arrival police found he was hiding from them; he was located in a bedroom and taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to county jail, where he was held on a 48-hour detainer.
- Police reported a false alarm at Apria Healthcare on Monday.
- On Tuesday a 34-year-old South Main Street man alleged to police that while out with friends, they stopped the car, assaulted him and left with his belongings. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident at this time.
