The State College Spikes were held in check by the Aberdeen IronBirds on Tuesday night as they dropped a 6-1 decision at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Despite the loss, the Spikes maintained the top spot in the New York-Penn League playoff seedings with six games remaining in the regular season.
