Tom “Tuck” Hudson was called upon by our Lord on Aug. 19, 2016, at his residence in Dixon, Mo. Formally of Grampian, he was born in Clearfield on Oct. 7, 1973 to Barbara J. Ritzert (McCall) and Thomas A. Hudson Jr.
He was a 1991 graduate of Curwensville High School. While in school, he was a letterwinner in wrestling and golf as well as a member of the Future Farmers of America.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing or hunting. He was also an expert dirt bike enthusiast. But most of all, he was a people person where he enjoyed any and all opportunities to spend time with friends and family. He was a caring and giving soul.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara and his little friend, Araya of Dixon, Mo.; his father, step-mother and step-sister, Thomas, Jo and Jessica of Clearfield; his maternal grandmother, Jean McCall of Grampian; brother and sister-in-law, Shawn and Tarnee’ Hudson of Richmond, Va.; step-sister, step-brother and step-nephews, Crystal (Ritzert), Kory, Nate and Weston McAllister of Pearl, Ill.; and sister, companion and family Erika Hudson, Justin, Alyssa, Naomi and Justin Jr. of Summerville, SC.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Donald K. Ritzert of Dixon, Mo.; step-brother, Benjamin N. Ritzert of Pittsburgh; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Gladys “Glady” Hudson of Clearfield; his maternal grandfather, James A. “Pappy” McCall of Grampian; and aunt,, Karen Solis (Hudson) and uncles, Dale “Ace” Hudson and Ronald “Ronnie” Hudson, all of Clearfield.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Curwensville, with the Rev. Rick Butler officiating.
Friends and family will be received from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
