Roxane J. Powers, 75, of DuBois died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 at her home.
Born Dec. 5, 1940 in Kane, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (Madolfi) Ferranto.
On April 22, 1957, she married Richard L. Powers. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2010.
Mrs. Powers was a certified nursing aid for many years.
She was an advocate for all animals and enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her children, Rick Powers and his wife, June, Randy Powers and his wife, Val, Mike Powers and his wife, Cindy, Belinda Powers and Michele Ross and her husband, Gary, all of DuBois, and Melissa Powers of Fredericksburg, Va.; a step-son, George Powers and his wife, Connie of Punxsutawney; three sisters, Adeline Stoneberg of DuBois, Tresa Heller of Warren and Carmen Ferranto of Russell, Pa.; a brother, Michael Ferranto of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah Powers, a step-daughter, Karen Spellen and a step-son, Richard L. Powers Jr.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
