CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield teen accused of entering a neighbor’s residence and asking her to have sex with him had all charges held for court after a preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
Jacob David Sanders, 18, of Clearfield has been charged by Clearfield Borough police with burglary, criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct. His bail was raised from $5,000 to $25,000 monetary at the hearing.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Aug. 14 officers were dispatched for a report about a male who had allegedly entered the victim’s residence and asked her to have sex with him.
When Sanders entered her residence, she was in her living room watching a movie with the lights off. Sanders repeatedly asked her to “please have sex with me,” she told police.
She said she told Sanders no and to get out of her residence. However, she said Sanders walked closer to her and asked her again. He remained in her residence even after she threatened to call his mother.
When he eventually turned to leave, the victim said Sanders asked her not to “call his mom.” She told him she wouldn’t if he would just leave and he yelled at her that he was trying to and to stop yelling at him.
Sanders exited the residence. The victim told police that she didn’t threaten to contact them for fear it would enrage Sanders. She did tell police there have been ongoing issues with Sanders harassing her family.
When police made contact with Sanders, both he and his father claimed Sanders was in their residence all night. When advised the victim has cameras in her residence, Sanders told police they may see him in video.
When police questioned Sanders’ father, he stated that he was outside and heard yelling coming from the victim’s residence. He told police the victim could be heard saying “I’m not doing this.”
When police took Sanders to the station and advised he was under arrest for burglary and criminal trespass, he asked, “How is that when the door was unlocked?”
