Sara Jane Kassab, 81, of Bon Air, Va., peacefully went home to be with her Lord among loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Irene Rothrock.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George Edward Kassab; sons, Curtis Kassab (Stephanie) and Edward Kassab (Katie); four grandchildren, Delaney, Lily, Elliott and Caylee Kassab; and her sister, Susan Straka of Morrisdale.
Mrs. Kassab worked for At Home Care up until two weeks ago. She loved cooking, baking, canning and most of all, her grandchildren. She was loved by everyone she knew.
Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Thursday at Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Rd., Richmond, VA, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. at the church.
On Friday family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, 171 Deer Creek Rd., Morrisdale.
A graveside and burial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Centre Hill Cemetery, Morrisdale, with the Rev. Michelle R. Bodle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund at Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Rd., Richmond, VA 23235.
