BREAKING: Brockport Man Charged with Attempted Homicide

BROCKPORT – A Brockport man, Keith S. Bennett, 45, has been charged with criminal attempt/homicide after a shooting incident Tuesday night on Cross Road in Brockport, the state police at Ridgway reported this afternoon.

Bennett allegedly shot a 39-year-old Brockport man several times with a firearm. The victim was flown to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries, state police said.

Bennett fled the scene after the shooting incident. He was located at his residence and taken into custody. He subsequently appeared for arraignment Wednesday morning, and his bail was set at $250,000 straight.

Bennett was lodged in the Elk County Prison on charges of criminal attempt/homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
