“What a difference a year makes,” Rosie O’Donnell wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo with her daughter, Chelsea.
It’s true. Just one year ago, O’Donnell tweeted that her daughter had been missing for one week and was in need of medical attention. Just a few hours after O’Donnell’s tweet, Chelsea was found in New Jersey at her boyfriend’s home. But despite O’Donnell claiming Chelsea had run away, the teen said she had been kicked out of O’Donnell’s home in Nyack, New York.
“People think I’m this crazy person and as I’ve said, I have depression and bad anxiety — but it’s been something that’s gotten a lot better,” Chelsea said in an interview with the Daily Mail last October. “But these were personal things and I didn’t want anyone to know them about me,” she continued. “I wouldn’t say I’m mentally ill — I would say lots of people struggle with what I have.”
Now, O’Donnell and Chelsea appear happy and moving in a positive direction.
