Vartelas leads record four Nittany Lions with 68 in first round of U.S. Amateur

The Nittany Lions’ contingent in the 116th U.S. Amateur was led in the first round by spring graduate Geoff Vartelas, who fired a 2-under-par 68 on the South Course to tie for 14th place in the 312-player field.
