JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Jefferson County Commissioners have lifted the burn ban that has been in effect for Jefferson County since July 28.
In a release issued Monday, the commissioners stated that conditions have improved that allowed the lifting of the ban.
Residents are cautioned to conduct controlled burns responsibly and to burn during damp periods.
“The Jefferson County Commissioners would like to thank all of the residents for their patience during this period and a special thanks to all of the first responders for making sure county residents are safe every day,” said the commissioners in the release.
