Rain and thunderstorms in the State College area forced the State College Spikes and West Virginia Black Bears to halt their game on Wednesday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in the middle of the first inning with West Virginia leading, 1-0. The two teams will resume the contest on Thursday as part of a makeshift doubleheader starting at 5:05 p.m., with the completion of the suspended game to nine innings, followed by a seven-inning game between the Spikes and Black Bears.
