Obituary Notice: Michael P. Kozlosky

Michael P. Kozlosky, 79, of Lancaster, Pa., and formerly of Sykesville, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.

Born in Patton, Pa., on Sept. 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Malynczak) Kozlosky.

He was the husband of Michaline (Chesonis) Kozlosky, and together they recently celebrated their 39th anniversary on July 22, 2016.

A veteran, Mr. Kozlosky served in the U.S. Army. He was a guidance counselor for Manheim Township High School.  He and his wife attended St. James Catholic Church, Lititz, Pa.  He enjoyed all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Theodore Kozlosky of Falls Creek; two sisters, Grace Krug and Helen Vida, both of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Theresa Glance and her husband, John; brothers-in-law, Larry Chesonis and his wife, Corleen and David Chesonis and his wife, Chris; nieces, Suzie, Maryann, Britany and Lisa; nephews: Ted Jr., Gregory, Davy, Jr. and Tom; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kozlosky was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kozlosky and a sister, Eva Kozlosky.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Sykesville with Fr. Rick Tomasone as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice and or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
