Film “Generational Sins” Coming to Clearfield County

A film “Generational Sins” is coming to Clearfield County.

It’s a major motion Hollywood picture about two estranged brothers who are brought together by the death of their mother.

Her final wish to see them pursue closure with their father, and this adventure leads them to their hometown in central Pennsylvania.

Their journey leads them to a place with as much of a life and personality as the people who live there.

Director, Spencer T. Folmar, a native of West Branch Area School District, says “Generational Sins is a powerful and emotional drama about family history and the inevitable task of facing your past.

“Two estranged brothers are brought together by the death of their mother. Her final wish to see them reunite with their father takes them to their hometown.

“As each brother discovers and rediscovers the town and people of their childhood, they come to terms with what home means, both to those who stay and to those who leave. Ultimately, they also have to face the memory of their father and choose bitterness or forgiveness.”

It stars a lead Australian and Hollywood actor, Daniel MacPherson, who is best known for his roles as: Joel Samuels on Neighbours and PC Cameron Tait on British police drama The Bill and who is featured in MTV’s The Shannara Chronicles.

Also starring are Hollywood veterans, Dax Spanogle (also co-writer), Barrett Donner, Kristen Jezek in lead roles.

The production will be filming in and around Clearfield County over the next couple weeks and are looking for help from some of the local communities.

Extras will be needed for a film shoot on Aug. 8 (weather permitting with a rain date for Aug. 9) at the Super 322 Drive-In from 7 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., and on Aug. 12 from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. at JC’S Bar & Grill, formerly Cooney’s in Kylertown.

The movie is hoped to premiere in the area in December of this year.
