Douglas T. McLaughlin, 51, of Clearfield died Friday, July 22, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Mr. McLaughlin was born May 25, 1965 in Clearfield, the son of Irvin and Mary (Smeal) McLaughlin.
He was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church. He loved growing a garden, playing his guitars and working on vehicles.
He is survived by a son and daughter, Shannon L. Swoope of Fredericksburg, Va., and Jessica D. McLaughlin of Curwensville; six grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas, Justen Crutchfeld, Jayden McLaughlin, Ajah Rose, Nathan Blair and Joshua Swoope; a brother, Scotty McLaughlin of Clearfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Albert, Ernie and Eddie McLaughlin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
