The time of the year has come where the Elk County Toastmasters organization has chosen its cadre of newly-dedicated officers for 2016-17.
The fast-growing leadership and public speaking organization chose Dale Fox to lead the club as president.
An experienced Toastmaster working on her bronze level certification and a member of Toastmasters International since 2010, Fox will provide strong leadership to achieve continued growth.
“Elk County Toastmasters is rapidly expanding thanks to our increased public relations efforts,” shared Fox.
Fox added, “I want to see this club take another great leap forward with three new goals – to reach out more to our local business community (because we hone employees’ leadership and communication skills extremely cost-effectively), help establish additional clubs in our region (which will enable us to deliver even more dynamic trainings) and starting an annual speech contest that will showcase our astonishing local talent.”
Rounding out the officer roles for the upcoming year are Vice President of Education Otto Nissen, Vice President of Membership Paula Micale, Vice President of Public Relations Jeff Yetzer, Secretary-Treasurer Cory Straub and Sargent of Arms Ross Wingard.
Elk County Toastmasters meets at 7:15 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays each month, at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Education Center on Washington Street in St. Marys.
“Visitors are always welcome (at no charge), and you do not have to live within Elk County to join,” stated Fox. “So if you know someone who needs a bit of prodding to help them build a better future (including yourself), tell them about Toastmasters. Come and see what Toastmasters can do for you (it’s more than you can imagine). It is not necessary to reside in Elk County.”
