Violet L. Galentine, 74, of Luthersburg died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her home.
Born June 28, 1942 in Helvetia, Pa., she was the daughter of James Beatty and Helen (Kramer) McCracken. Her mother and her father preceded her in death.
On Jan. 24, 1960, she married Jack Galentine. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2014.
Mrs. Galentine was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Mike J. Galentine and his wife, Sandy and Glenn V. Galentine and his wife, Brenda, both of Luthersburg; a daughter, Kathy L. Isaac and her husband, Mike of Hillsville, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four siblings, Darryl McCracken of Troutville, Nancy Hollopeter of Big Run, James Beatty of Luthersburg and Judy Kessler of DuBois.
Mrs. Galentine enjoyed gardening, canning and most of all, being with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Sherwood officiating.
Burial will be in St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Luthersburg.
