CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc.’s Meals on Wheels and More program delivers approximately 550-600 meals a day to consumers throughout Clearfield County.

Last year, the program delivered more than 260,000 meals to more than 1,120 people.  Due to the increase in the number of consumers receiving Meals on Wheels and the increasing amount of time to deliver the meals, the agency is in the process of developing new meal routes.

This new routes will require an additional van.  The agency’s Friends of the Area Agency on Aging Auxiliary recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Caravan for the Meals on Wheels & More Program and donated it to the CCAAA.

The “Friends of the Area Agency on Aging” was formed in July of 1995 with the purpose of promoting and supporting the programs and services of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging and its charitable foundation, Mature Resources Foundation. Any person of any age may join our Auxiliary.

For more information on the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. or the auxiliary, please visit www.ccaaa.net.  Programs and services of the agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation, local and consumer contributions and generous donations such as this.
