Obituary Notice: Patricia Huber

Patricia Huber, 87, of Houtzdale and a guest of Windy Hill Village of Presbyterian Home, Philipsburg, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the village.

Born April 25, 1929 in Osceola Mills, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Beres) Osewalt.

On May 14, 1947, she married Emil J Huber Jr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2012.

She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale; the Houtzdale American Legion Auxiliary; the former Houtzdale Fire Ladies Auxiliary; and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Helen Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Huber enjoyed reading, number search puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Timothy and his wife, Jammy of Houtzdale; a daughter, Claudia Sedgwick of Houtzdale; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Huber of Hawk Run.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer (Wayne) Longstreth of Osceola Mills, Shawn (Tina) Huber of Louisiana, Brian (Johanna) Sedgwick of Bellefonte, Aaron Sedgwick of Petersburg, Stephanie (David) Held of Sigel and Valerie Huber and her companion, Michael Suhoney of Philipsburg, seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Sandra McCauley of Red Lion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Thomas and Terrance Huber; and two sisters Cecila Killinger and Gloria Smeal.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc.

Family and friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, Good St., Houtzdale, PA 16651.
