Leona Marie Good, 83, of Colonial Courtyard, Clearfield, and formerly of Philipsburg, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.
Born May 14, 1933 at Oak Grove, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Kadash) Kovalcin.
She was a 1951 graduate of Cooper Township High School and retired as head cashier from the former Riverside.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg, and had served as a deacon, elder, trustee and session member.
She enjoyed playing cards and dominos. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family and spending time with all of her grandchildren.
On Jan. 19, 1952 at Wallaceton, she married Edward K. Good, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2014.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ann Metzgar and her husband, Gerald of Stroudsburg and Jacqueline Marie Jones and her husband, Edward of Myrtle Beach, SC and a son, Edward A. Good and his wife, Edie of Philipsburg.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jesse Mueller, Damon Jones, Emily Reish, Matthew Jones, Jennifer Icenhour, Tyler Good and Ryan Good; six great-grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Noah Icenhour, Gabriel Eckert, Helena Icenhour, Emily Kelly and Abby Kelly; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Goss of Philipsburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph V. Kovalcin and two sisters, Margaret Swansegar and Dorothy Conklin.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg, with Pastor Jimmy Hopper officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg.
