PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Three men have been charged in relation to an organized burglary ring that targeted social clubs in seven, different counties in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, filed criminal charges against Bryan Delandro, Gary Nau and Christopher Sullivan.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, which culminated in the charges filed today.
The investigation revealed that between September and December of 2015, Delandro, Nau, and Sullivan allegedly committed or attempted 15 burglaries at American Legions, VFWs, Moose and Eagles Clubs and Volunteer Fire Department Social Clubs in Armstrong, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Jefferson, Mercer and Westmoreland counties.
The trio stole more than $66,000 in cash from the clubs and caused more than $90,000 in property damage, according to state police.
The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Forensic Services conducted extensive analysis on DNA, latent prints and trace evidence to tie the three defendants to the burglaries. Cell phone records, cell tower records and video surveillance were also analyzed in depth.
The following charges were filed against Delandro, Nau and Sullivan: corrupt organizations, burglary, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy and related offenses.
