Donald B. Luzier, 71, of Clearfield died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield. Mr. Luzier was born April 21, 1945, the son of C. Dean and Mildred (Jordan) Luzier.
He had been a police officer with Clearfield Borough for 10 years and Lawrence Township for three years. He had also been Lawrence Township Supervisor for 12 years.
Mr. Luzier was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a member of the Old Town Sportsmen’s Club.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. (Lindolph) Luzier, to whom he was married Sept. 19, 1964.
He is survived by three children, Cheryl Luzier of Woodland and Holly McGovern and her husband, Kyle and Donald B. Luzier II and his wife, Jessica, all of Clearfield.
He is survived by eight grandchildren, Shawn and Michele Luzier, Brandon and Shayne Evans, Brittany Burke, Crystal James and Austin and Briana Luzier.
He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marlin D. Luzier and his wife, Jean, J. Rodney Luzier and his wife, Kathy and Randall L. Luzier and his companion, Winnie, all of Clearfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles E. and Glenn A. Luzier and a sister, Mildred J. Luzier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with President Robert W. Morrison II officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
