Barbara Ann Himes Julie, 78, of Hyde died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born May 21, 1938 in Sigel, she was the daughter of John and Olive Leona (Edeburn) Himes.
She had worked as a waitress at Pizza Hut and Clearfield Truck Stops for many years.
She was a former member of Cherry Corner Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She had been attending Hyde Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Julie of Hyde and five children, Mandy S. Redden and her husband, James, Kelly Lou Lord and her husband, Glenn and Samuel Ray Scribe and his wife, Angel, all of Curwensville, William Herbert “Herbie” Scribe of Greensburg and Joseph John Scribe of Hyde.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy Himes and his wife, Betty of Indiana County; and her dog, Spike.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William H. Scribe Sr.; her brothers John and Sam Himes; and her sister, Wanda Daugherty.
Funeral services for Mrs. Julie will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Pastor Stevan Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
