Efforts to unify the Republican party after Donald Trump’s delegate victory are becoming increasingly clear — including on social media.
For the first time since Trump became the party’s presumptive nominee, the official GOP Twitter account tweeted the well-known slogan that has become somewhat synonymous with the Trump campaign.
“Together we’ll win this election & Make America Great Again! This is YOUR movement: http://gop.cm/X9pjus,” the GOP tweeted
The tweet comes amid buzz that some GOP strategists have been looking at options for cutting ties with Trump at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
GOP chairman Reince Priebus first stated support of the presumptive nominee in early May when Trump obtained the necessary number of delegates and tweeted that it was time to focus on defeating likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
