John Ashe, a former president of the U.N. General Assembly, died Wednesday while awaiting his trial in a bribery scandal, police said.
Ashe, who was indicted in October, died at his New York home, Dobbs Ferry Police Sgt. Vincent Ingani confirmed to CNN.
