Pipe Replacement Set for June 22-23 in Goshen Township

Two-day Detour will be in Place

SHAWVILLE – A two-day pipe replacement project will take place June 22-23 in Goshen Township, Clearfield County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The work zone is located on Route 879, near the village of Shawville and the work will require a road closure and detour.

The official detour will direct drivers to use Interstate 80 and Route 970. PennDOT will re-open Route 879 before the end of the day June 23, if work progress allows. Local residents will be able to access their homes during the replacement work.

The pipe replacement work will be done by a crew from PennDOT Clearfield County Maintenance, with all work weather dependent. Drivers are reminded to follow detour signing, use caution in and around work zones, and always buckle up.
