Chloy S. Kline, 93, of Clearfield died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Ridgeview Elder Care.
Mrs. Kline was born July 30, 1922 in New Millport, the daughter of Custer and Stella (Henderson) Snyder.
She was a graduate of Clearfield High School in the class of 1940. Mrs. Kline had been employed by Quality Paving as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Curwensville Moose and did a lot of volunteer work.
Mrs. Kline was the loving mother of six children, Walter Kline and his wife, Eleanor of Olanta, G. Jean Hopkins and her husband, James of New Providence, Kathleen Malmberg of Hepburnia and Gordon W. Kline and his wife, Dawnell, George C. Kline and his wife, Debbie and Larry P. Kline, all of Clearfield.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a sister, Guinivere Johnson of New Millport and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon S. Kline; an infant daughter, Connie Kline; and these brothers and sisters, Edna Gardner, Herschel Snyder, Mariel Robbins, Leida Snyder, Clare Irwin, Lyle Snyder and Theron Snyder.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with her cousin, the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
