Obituary Notice: Anna Kathryn (Griffith) Rebo

Anna Kathryn (Griffith) Rebo, 91, of Clymer and formerly of Madera, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Rustic Manor Personal Care Home, Clymer.

Born Feb. 7, 1925 in Cramer, she was the daughter of the late Edris and Alma (Magness) Griffith.

She was a 1942 graduate of Houtzdale High School.  On July 10, 1943, she married Steve Rebo in Houtzdale.  He preceded her in death in 1996.

She was a member of the St. Barbara’s PNCC in Houtzdale, where she served as organist for seven years.  She was a member of A.N.S. Society.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Beers of Martinsburg, W.Va., Cindy (Joe) Peters of Clearfield and Anna Fay (John) Butler of Osceola Mills; three sons, David (Mary) Rebo of Homer City and Steve (Sandy) Rebo Jr. and Daniel Rebo, both of Madera; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edris M. Griffith; three sisters, Geraldine Gerber, Mildred Cambier and Faye Wosinsky; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Rebo; and son-in-law, Daniel Beers.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera.

Prayers of transfer will be said at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the St. Barbara’s Polish National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Scott Lill as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Barbara’s Cemetery.
