Eva Hayward, 84, of Houtzdale died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Penn Highlands, Clearfield.
Born May 7, 1932 in Hale, rural Houtzdale, she was the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Truden) Henshaw.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Oddie.
On May 1, 1952, she married Chester Hayward, who preceded her in death on June 18, 2001.
She is survived two daughters, Linda (Thomas) Lumadue and Sandra Fleck, both of Houtzdale, and two sons, Wayne Hayward of rural Osceola Mills and Larry (Marlene) Hayward of Madera.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Lorie Harnish of rural Houtzdale, Lisa Lutz of Sanborn, Shelia Fleck and Raymond Fleck Jr., both of Madera, Jason Fleck of Philipsburg, Hilary Robinson of Smoke Run, Larry Hayward Jr. of Houtzdale and John Fleck of Osceola Mills; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Susan Patrick of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two brothers, Nick and John Henshaw and a sister, Ann Randolph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with Pastor Kevin Howard.
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
