5K, Car/Bike Show to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network, Local Charities

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Fair Queen, Abby Jamison, and her court will host the fifth annual Queen’s For a Cause Royal 5K Run/Walk along with a Car/Bike Show at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds on Sunday.

People are invited for a day of hot cars, foods, music by DJ Mad Maxx, kid’s activities and a variety of craft and retail vendors.

A Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull will be held at 12 p.m. (ages 5 years and under and 6 to 8 years) with trophies going to the Top 3 in each age group.

Registration for the Royal 5K is from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. Pre-registration is $20 and day-of is $25. A race T-shirt will be available on a while supplies last basis.  Pre-registration is available at www.active.com.

Awards will be presented to the Top 3 overall male/female finishers as well as the Top 3 finishers in each age group, male and female.  The Top 3 finishers with a stroller will also win an award.

Participants are encouraged to join in the royal spirit and dress in costume for the race. Tutus, tiaras, and pixy wings are welcome. A special prize will be given to the participant with the best royal appearance.

Registration for the car/bike show will begin at 10 a.m. Awards will be presented at 4 p.m.

The registration fee is $10 per entry. The first 75 registrants for the car/bike show will receive a dash plaque.

The event will be held rain or shine. Funds raised throughout the day’s events will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and local causes.

Since the inception of Queens for a Cause (formerly Queens for Kids), more than $140,000 has been donated to CMN and local charities.
