Rosemary L. Lansberry, 70, of Osceola Mills died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital in Altoona.
Born Nov. 13, 1945 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late John A. Sr. and Madeline (Ward) Carter. She was married to Raymond E. Lansberry, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1987.
Mrs. Lansberry was of the United Methodist faith. She was a retired manager for the VFW Post No. 5020 in Osceola Mills.
She was also a member of the Freeberg Social Club in the American Legion Home, Post 591, in Houtzdale.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Litzinger and a brother, David W. Carter.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Spencer and her companion, John Fleck of Osceola Mills; three sons, Carl E. Lansberry and his wife, Mary of Brisbin, Keith A. Lansberry and his wife, Melissa of Houtzdale and Curtis W. Lansberry and his companion, Stephanie McLaughlin of Osceola Mills; and six sisters and three brothers.
She is also survived by her companion, Albert “Red” Hoover of Philipsburg, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Robert Bruinooge officiating. Burial will be at the Fruit Hill Cemetery in Annsonville.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A celebration of life dinner will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Madera Moose.
