Helen Schnars, 99, of Gearhartville, RD Philipsburg, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her residence.
Born Jan. 12, 1917 in Patterson, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Amelia (Alexander) Wotowitch.
Mrs. Schnars was a Protestant by faith and a homemaker.
She was married to Merritt A. Schnars, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1970. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a son, Donald A. Schnars of Gearhartville; a sister, Josephine Lake of Harrisburg; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held at Philipsburg Cemetery with the Rev. Timothy D. Richmond officiating.
