Franklin D. Eboch, 74, Morrisdale, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born Feb. 27, 1942 in Philipsburg. He was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Alice Madeline (Brown) Eboch.
He was married to Bonnie (Hummel) Eboch on Oct. 6, 1962. She survives. He is also survived by three children, Crystal (Joseph) Shimmel and Jason (Kim) Eboch, both of Morrisdale, and James (Dawn) Eboch of Montoursville.
Mr. Eboch is also survived by a sister, Nancy Minarich of Philipsburg; a brother, Robert (Patricia) Eboch of Florida; seven grandchildren, Bridget Schnarrs, Tyler Shimmel, Nicholas Eboch, Stephen and Michael Houseknecht; Cam Eboch; and Chance Eboch; two great-grandchildren, Lukas and Aubree Colton and their father, Chris Colton; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Eboch of Ohio and Carol Eboch of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dolores June Bowman; and two brothers, Charles “Flit” Jr. and William Eboch.
He was a graduate of the Philipsburg High School. He had worked as a welder for Cerro Metal in Bellefonte.
He was a member of the Morrisdale United Methodist Church. He loved the Lord; his family, and his dogs, especially Mikey; John Deere tractors; yard sales; and his garage with many tools and woodworking.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home in Philipsburg.
Friends will also be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Morrisdale United Methodist Church.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday the church with Pastor Tina Hawkins and Pastor Connie Dixon officiating. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Morrisdale.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Morrisdale United Methodist Church general fund or Orphans of the Storm.
