Elsie M. Kephart Lane, 99, of Clearfield and formerly of West Decatur, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born Dec. 9, 1916 in West Decatur, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Smeal) Bush. She was married to Bernard Kephart, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1952.
She attended the Ohio United Methodist Church in Osceola Mills.
She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. She had retired in 1980 from the former McTague Sewing Factory.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna M. Carr and four brothers, Carl A. Bush, Raymond M. Bush, Leo D. Bush and John J. Bush.
She is survived by a sister, Eldarene E. Clark of Tonawanda, NY; two brothers, Melvin Eugene Bush and his wife, Kathryn of Texas and Herman S. Bush and his wife, Margaret of Tonawanda, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Osceola Mills. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
