Saudi deputy crown prince to visit the United States

Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to visit the United States later this month, a source familiar with the visit told CNN Friday.

Salman, son of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, will be in Washington June 14-16. He will meet with various officials from the White House, State Department and Pentagon, as well as business leaders.

This is scheduled as a foreign policy and economic visit. According to the source, he plans to discuss the civil war in Syria, the fight against ISIS and the conflict in Yemen. He also will be promoting his economic plan for expanding the Saudi private sector and attracting investment to the Kingdom.

Salman also plans to travel to New York during his visit to the U.S.
