Norma B. Greene, 83, of Woodland died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her home. She was born July 24, 1932 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Leonard and Bessie (Putillion) Turner.

Mrs. Greene was the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Richard D. Greene Trucking and Contracting. She had also been employed by Sears in Clearfield as a bookkeeper.

She enjoyed being involved with the Ladies Coffee League Bowling and also playing in a card club with friends and family. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Leigey and her husband, Larry of Woodland and two granddaughters, Angela Thompson and her husband, John of Woodland and Jessica English and her husband, Matt of Morrisdale. She is survived by two great-granddaughters, Madisyn and Makenzie Thompson.

She is survived by five sisters, Shelby Ryen of Philipsburg, Gloria ‘Ann’ Passmore of Ohio and Brenda Shirey and her husband, Marvin, Carol ‘Sue’ Henry and her husband, Barry and Sandy Johnston and her husband, Dave, all of Woodland, and three brothers, Harold ‘Son’ Turner and his wife, Ella Mae of Lancaster, Ron Turner and his wife, Judy of Olanta and Robert ‘Gary’ Turner and his wife, Sharon of Woodland;

She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Janet Turner and Donna Smeal, both of Woodland, and Dorothy Loddo of Curwensville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. ‘Smiley’ Greene on July 28, 2015 and to whom she was wed Feb. 21, 1952.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Greene; a great-grandson, Alex Thompson; a sister, Shirley Sleigh; and a brother, Russell Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Sam Maines officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
