State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass/disorderly conduct that occurred Tuesday at the Coalport Minit Mart. During the incident, a LaJose man was asked to leave the store because he was allegedly harassing patrons. He went to his vehicle and got a large stick; he then walked around the parking lot swinging it. Upon arrival at the scene, state police requested the man to leave the premises, which he refused to do. A taser was deployed by state police, and he was taken into custody. The man was treated for minor injuries and transported to county jail, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Tuesday on Houtz Lane in Halfmoon Township. During the incident, a teenage boy arrived at the victim’s residence and allegedly threatened him with physical harm. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
- State police investigated an incident of DUI that occurred May 18 on Route 350 in Taylor Township. During a traffic stop, state police found a male to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police conducted a sobriety checkpoint in May in Jefferson County. It resulted in three DUI arrests, 15 traffic citations and 77 written warnings.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred April 28 on Dale Lane in Oliver Township. Further, the victim sent a check via U.S. mail to Keystone Drill Services. It was reported as missing from the envelope upon arrival at the bank. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Monday a Hawthorne male was allegedly found to be in possession of alcohol during a traffic stop on Route 28 near its intersection with Airport Road in Rose Township. He was cited for underage possession of alcohol, according to state police.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident along Martin Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police found a vehicle had struck a pole; this caused major damage to the vehicle. Police arrested the male driver for allegedly driving under the influence/drug-related.
- Police responded to West Pine Street for a noise complaint and determined that someone was setting off fireworks in the area. However, police were unable to locate anyone.
- Police checked on a vehicle that was parked in the Clearfield Driving Park. Further, police found that the occupant had an active warrant through Lawrence Township police, and they responded and handled the warrant.
- An abandoned bike was located along West Front Street, and it was turned over to police.
- Police responded to South Second Street for a report about damage to a vehicle. Further, police found that someone had smashed out a window to a vehicle.
- Police responded to West Fifth Street for a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police assisted with transporting two females to a local hotel after they were involved in a vehicle accident on Interstate 80.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along Dorey Street for the owner who locked their keys inside.
- Police handled an alleged incident of harassment along South Front Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an attempted burglary on Garman Lane.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. Further, police contacted the actor and advised them to cease contact with the victim.
- Police received a report about a lost Beagle from the West Side area. Anyone who has contact with the Beagle is asked to call police.
- Police received a report about a possible wanted person on Leonard Street. Upon arrival police found the male was not wanted.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on River Road.
- Police received a report about recovered drug paraphernalia, and it was turned over to police.
- Police would like to remind residents to be observant within their communities. Residents are asked to immediately report anything suspicious to police. Police have received reports about a suspicious male running through different areas and allegedly breaking into homes and businesses. Police also remind residents to keep their homes and vehicles locked at all times.
