Moore to Stand Trial for Allegedly Standing Naked in Doorway near Elementary School

DUBOIS – A DuBois man will stand trial for allegedly standing naked in his doorway near an elementary school.

Gregory V. Moore, 65, is facing charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident at his home on Feb. 23.

After a preliminary hearing Friday, District Judge Patrick Ford ruled all charge be sent on to the court of common pleas. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, a woman allegedly saw a man standing in the doorway of the residence at 201 Juniata St. She told police the man dropped his pants, and then dropped his shorts while he touched himself.

This doorway faces the Juniata Elementary School where children were playing in the playground/parking area.

She told police he stood there for a period of time and he was visible to anyone in that area. Eventually he shut the door. The witness pulled her vehicle into the school where she informed the principal and school police officer.

During an interview with police, Moore admitted he was home at the time of the incident. When the officer questioned him further, Moore said he did not want to talk to him.

The witness was shown a photo lineup of eight men. She was able to pick out Moore as the one she saw in the doorway.
