Ida Mae Coble, 89, of Pleasant Hill, Philipsburg RD, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her home.
Born May 23, 1927 in Woodland, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Effie (Turner) Peters.
She was a 1945 graduate of Clearfield High School. She retired from the former Philipsburg Hospital after 25 years of service, where she was a cook.
She enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower gardens.
On July 21, 1950 in Howard, she married James Ralph Coble, who died Dec. 6, 1960.
She is survived by two sons, James Rodney Coble and his wife, Gerry and David Benson Coble, all of Philipsburg RD; two granddaughters, Jennifer Miller and her husband, Don and Jamie Johns and her husband, Justin; and five great-grandchildren, Maddie, Maura, Ben, Amelia and Nolan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Josephine Peters, Ruth Baird, Mary McBride and Louise Osewalt.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with her niece, Sandee McBride Schenk officiating. Burial will be at the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Per her request, there will be no public viewing.
