Mary Elizabeth Burton, 69, of Osceola Mills died peacefully at her home on Monday, May 23, 2016.

Born Nov. 11, 1946 at Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Mandrick) Olosky.

She worked for Kent’s Sportswear for many years. She then became an amazing housewife, where her talents for cooking, canning and maintaining a home was as dedicated as the never-ending love for her husband and daughter.

She enjoyed traveling, especially to New York City, planting a large garden, the outdoors, flea markets and auctions. She was talented in many ways through her artwork, her flower gardens and her genius design of home-cooked meals from scratch.

She was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association for many years, where she won numerous trophies, rosettes and ribbons.

Later in life, she along with her husband and daughter, entered many exhibits at local fairs where once again she was awarded beautiful rosettes and ribbons.

She married Floyd William Burton on Sept. 30, 1978 at Houtzdale.

She was of the Christian faith. She was an active member while working alongside her husband and daughter in the Columbia Fire Co.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Miranda Kay Burton of Osceola Mills and her animals, which she loved dearly.

She is also survived by a sister, Kathy Bloom and brother, Jim Olosky.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 23, 2014; her parents; her brother, Joseph; two infant brothers; and an infant sister.

Her smile and laughter were as bright and energetic as the sunshine. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her especially her loving daughter, Miranda.

At Mrs. Burton’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
