Trump says he made almost $560 million last year

Donald Trump says he is still really rich.

The presumptive Republican nominee said Tuesday that he had filed a new document showing his revenue had increased by about $190 million and that his net worth now eclipsed $10 billion. Trump, who made fortunes in New York real estate before entering politics, said his income on his new personal financial disclosure form exceeded $557 million.

Trump has consistently declined to release his tax returns, which would offer a fuller portrait of exactly how much money the billionaire has earned. Trump’s disclosure form, which he said in a statement to reporters that he filed on Monday, has not yet been released by the Federal Election Commission, and his campaign declined to release a copy of it to CNN on Tuesday.

“I filed my PFD, which I am proud to say is the largest in the history of the FEC,” Trump said in a statement, noting that Bernie Sanders, a far poorer presidential aspirant, had requested an extension for his form. “This is the difference between a businessman and the all talk, no action politicians that have failed the American people for far too long.”

Trump declared at least $1.4 billion in assets on last July’s report, and $265 million in liabilities. That report, 12 pages shorter than this year’s enormous 104-page tome, included 515 different organizations where Trump has held a position.
