DUBOIS – A major phase change for the Camp Mountain Run bridge replacement project was announced at Monday night’s Sandy Township Supervisors’ meeting.
The former bridge demolition has been completed, and the new culvert is expected to be installed Wednesday. “[The workers] are doing a phenomenal job,” said Township Manager Dave Monella.
In other business, Apple Pennsylvania LLC has requested permission to purchase and import a Pennsylvania Liquor License into Sandy Township. This is a part of its plans for opening a local Applebee’s Neighborhood and Grill.
It was noted that Apple Pennsylvania would need to bring a liquor license in due to not being able to purchase an existing Sandy Township liquor license at what they have considered to be fair market value.
A public hearing will be held before the supervisors’ final vote on the liquor license request. It will take place at the June 6 meeting.
